Welcoming Bebe

In April, I was thrown the most thoughtful, beautiful, baby shower a girl could ask for.
My mom and I decided to make a girl's weekend trip out of it, and flew out to Los Angeles to welcome the little snuglet in in style. Surrounded by many of my most favorite of women, I, along with baby, were showered
(pun-intended)
with love, laughter, awesome food, and super generous gifts.

At this point, I hadn't shared what The Man and I were expecting, so it was a fun shower game
(the ONLY shower game mind you! PRAISE!!)
as my girlies cast their votes on
A) Boy or Girl?
and
B) What his/her name would be.

["Thor" was amongst my favorites.]
Here are some snaps from the day, enjoy!

TANK

This week, The Man and I are acting as pseudo foster parents to the adorable TANK.
Nicole and Seth are on their way to the Emerald Isle to celebrate their two years of marriage, and we got puppy duty.

Fun Fact: Tank is sick... and our house has reaped it's benefits. The Man is thrilled.

Though he may talk a big game, The Man is a big 'ol softie.
Just between us, I caught him saying goodnight to Tank last night.
Shhh... our little secret.

Ziza Vita=Vita Vital

Hello...
YES this is my third blog post tonight...
But trust me, this one is well worth it.

I have spoken of my tried a true, bleed the same blood, born 6 months apart to the day, bestie Ziza many a time before this.

We are a mash up of Tall. Short. Italian. French. Mob. Irish. Hemp. and Leather.

But. Seriously.

Tonight, at 10:46pm I find myself completely engulfed by her blog.

It... is... A M A Z I N G.

I know that I have incredibly [incredibly] talented friends, but every so often they take me by surprise and I realize "Goodness gracious, they are TALENTED."

Meet the oh so talented Ziza Vita, and enjoy her blog. You won't be sorry.

The Secret Box

So, for those of you that follow me on instagram, I posted a photo a few weeks back stating that I had begun a secret project...
Well the project is now complete :)
In a previous blog post HERE I blogged about my dear Joelle getting engaged. This past weekend was her bridal shower, (Click HERE for bridal shower pics from Ziza's blog!) and I was scratching my brain as to what to get her. I wanted it to be personal, but not cheesy- something she could hold on to, but something that would be just for her.
So, I decided to make her a keepsake box.
For the shower, we bought vintage Mucha postcards (Joelle loves Mucha) that everyone wrote notes, marriage/wedding advice, etc. on and we placed them in the box for her future reading. However, I wanted this to be something that she could place her own special notes, treasures, etc. in as well.
I was nervous about how it would turn out, but never the less I was happy with it.
Fall colors, Fall fruit, Fall Wedding.
 Very Joelle.
Here are some snaps of the process.
(For those interested in a step by step process, feel free to email me at snugsandtheman@gmail.com and I'd be happy to share my tricks of the trade!)

Soon to be the schorrs!

Ok, I feel the need to shout this next one from the rooftops.....
PHIL AND JOELLE ARE ENGAGED!!!
(cue screaming, applause, fist pumping, confetti, music, doves)
This is the one we have all been waiting for. I have the two BEST [girl] friends on the entire planet,
and the day has finally come that the last leg of this tripod is getting hitched, and none of us could be happier. When Phil and Joelle began dating, we were all a measly 21-22 years of age. But it has been a pleasure, and honestly an encouragement to my own relationship, to watch how God has grown and shaped them into the couple we see today...steadfast, loyal, gracious, and generous servants not only of God, but of one another.
Congratulations you guys!
