Colorado Or Bust

WE MADE IT!

One snow storm, two days, and 19 hours later we finally made it to Colorado.

Thank you Jesus for seeing us here safely.

The journey was full of a mixture of quite bitter and quite sweet....and maybe I cried once four times.

On our last two nights in California, we gathered with some of our closest friends to celebrate Christmas together, and to say goodbye. 

Les Miserables, mouth watering food, pizza bites, a competitive game of Monopoly, and many hugs and tears were involved in these days.

I simply simply simply cannot believe our season in Los Angeles is over.

(Typing this Im about to lose it.)

But now it is time to see what God has in store for us in Colorado.... all -1 degrees of it.

So, I had to sell my car before leaving California because the poor thing had absolutely no chance of making it :(

Well, we pull up to my parents house, and here is what is waiting for me; bow and all.

My parents, being so generous, gave me their old car to have!

Goodbye Dinner

I meant to take a whole lot more photos of this wonderful dinner....

....annnnnd this was the only one that ended up happening.

Our Final California Adventure

Recently, The Man and I were gifted an AMAZING vacation in Carmel, California by my parents. We were so excited (and so in need of some time together) that we decided to make an adventure of it by tacking on a night in San Francisco at the end. 

We are on the brink of moving, and felt that this would be a wonderful way for the two of us to say goodbye to our beloved California. And it was so much more than wonderful!

On the drive out there, I had a major "Whoaaa Double Rainbow!" moment

When Robert and I literally saw the most incredible rainbow (which actually turned out to be a double rainbow lol) that I have ever seen in my life!!

 San Francisco turned out to be everything we imagined it could be: beautiful, inviting, exciting, and leaving us wanting much much more!

PS: the hotel we stayed at, The St. Francis Drake, was UNREAL

The RoseBowl Flea Market

Yesterday The Man and I spent a majority of the day at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena.

My legs seriously got their best workout all week! 

This flea market is so vast and so big that we were literally walking through it for hours and I still don't think we saw everything!

I had all the best intentions to take video and photos of our day...but I sort of forgot...and only ended up snapping a few shots.

One Last LA Christmas [Tree]

Ok, truth be told, these photos are so close up, because if I zoomed out, our apartment would look like it threw up on itself. There are boxes, and packing materials, items, and nicknacks all over the place! I cannot believe our move to Colorado is coming up so fast! But The Man and I truly are excited.

One thing to know about me is that I LOVE Christmas (who doesn't!?). So imagine my delight when Robert stated that he felt we should decorate one last time before we leave. 

Heart Mellllllllllllting. 

So we ventured out in the pouring down rain crisp Los Angeles December air to the Home Depot to choose our dignified Douglas Fir. 

Once home, our Naughton family tradition commenced 

(we started this last year in our first year of marriage.)

1. Setting up the tree

2. Robert strings the lights (I literally cannot do it for some reason)

3. Begin decorating

Oh... and all the while watching...
